Born in 1985, Caroline grew up in Bangkok, Thailand before moving to England where she gained her Foundation Diploma in Art & Design at Central St Martin’s, London in 2004 and her BA (HONS) Illustration degree at Brighton University in 2007.
After graduating and working full time in set design for feature films such as Ridley Scott’s, ‘Robin Hood’ and Alfonso Cuaron’s, ‘Gravity,' I followed my instincts and returned to painting. Though predominantly a portrait artist, I've always had two distinct approaches to my work. The more analytical side that obsesses over the human form and anatomy strengthened by my love for traditional painting techniques. The second approach perhaps developed as an antidote to the first where my work communicates emotion more through experimental brush-work, textures and general freedom from thought.
Caroline lives and works in NorthWest London. She paints, draws and makes prints for herself and others on request.
